Engineering a Compact Powerhouse: Simpli Namdaris’ In-Supermarket QSR
A state-of-the-art Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), engineered to run out of a supermarket with challenges like managing heat and odor from spreading, fire safety, and many such SOPs that were to be followed.
Dolar Group was tasked with an intricate project: integrating a high-efficiency QSR kitchen within the bustling, space-sensitive environment of a supermarket. The primary challenge was creating a self-contained culinary unit that operated at peak performance without impacting the surrounding retail space. This required meticulous planning to address critical constraints, including stringent fire safety protocols, effective heat and odor containment, and a workflow designed for maximum speed and minimal footprint in a public area.
To meet these demands, we delivered a bespoke solution featuring a powerful, customized exhaust system specifically designed to capture and neutralize grease, smoke, and cooking odors at the source. The layout was optimized for a compact yet seamless workflow, incorporating dedicated stations equipped with rapid-cooking equipment like sandwich makers, deep fryers, and tandoors. We integrated high-capacity deep freezers for storage and sleek display chillers for merchandising, all while ensuring every component adhered to the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
The result is a compact, high-throughput QSR that operates flawlessly within the supermarket ecosystem. The design successfully contains all operational byproducts, ensuring a comfortable shopping environment while enabling Simpli Namdaris to deliver quick, consistent, and high-quality food. This project exemplifies our ability to engineer innovative solutions that overcome complex spatial and operational challenges, turning constrained areas into profitable, efficient culinary hubs.
